At Domus Live-In Care we have many clients who have a companion carer living in with them. Many of these clients are older people who enjoy some help around the house and a friendly person staying with them for companionship and to share hobbies and interests. It is often useful having someone there who can accompany you on appointments, a trip or to simply keep up with the housework and help you to prepare meals.
We know how important it is to our clients to remain in the comfort and familiarity of their own homes, and how much people value being able to continue to live with a much loved pet or potter around in their own garden. Our live-in carers can take the pressure off dealing with everyday chores, meaning that you can enjoy your home and your independence.
We will introduce you to a small team of live-in carers, who we will match to your lifestyle and interests. They will work with you on a rotational basis, alternating every two or three weeks. This means that you will always have someone with you who knows you well and also gives you the back up of an agency who can source an alternative carer should your usual carer not be available.
Our live-in carers are there when you want them, but will also give you time alone or with your family and friends, as you like. It is not the same as having a house guest; it is your home and our live-in carers will not take it personally if you would prefer not to have their company all the time! Everyone is different; our live-in carers know this and respect you as an individual.
